Not known as a scotch for everyone, it lives up to its reputation. A little intimidating at first, yet surprisingly, this is a fantastic whisky. I'll be honest, I had to warm up to it. Strong peat smoke (I'm talking a good lick of the chimney), your Pop's old leather boots, the air of the sea, and a little sweetness right at the end. Drink a dram of this, and your soul awakens to the burnt shores of Islay.
