Laphroaig 15 Year 200th Anniversary

Standard bearer for an islay. Fair representative of a peaty scotch. Spicy finish paired well with the lamb. Overwhelmed the pickled cabbage with its strong flavor.

I can't stand the smell (peaty), but damn... that taste. Genuine whiskey flavor, just enough peat, and a hint of smoke. Flavor hangs around just long enough.
