Macallan Quest

Finally checking in whiskeys from the cruise. Not a big scotch fan.

Nice and summery Macallan. Nose floral, citrus fruit, pineapple, quince in syrup, wood spice, cigar box, tobacco leaves notes and a leathery touch. Nice and freshly pastoral. Smooth and velvety texture. No upfront heat. Delicate and elegant. Palate opens up with oaky, vanilla, agave, light yellow fruit notes with an oily butter brioche aftertaste.

Nose: spice, oak, slightly sweet, a bit peat Taste: oak, mild peat, honey, fruity, vanilla, very smooth start and middle, sharp in the end

It’s a decent Macallan traveler expression, oak driven with slightly sharp edges, not particularly impressive.
