Marie Duffau Napoléon Armagnac

Reviewed January 21, 2020Nice light copper color. Nose has raisin notes. Taste is similar to the nose with a light raisin sweetness along with some heat. Medium mouthfeel and finish. This was the first Armagnac I've tried so I was a little biased, initially comparing it to Cognac. I found it somewhat harsher than cognac in regards to having some more heat but the flavor was more robust (due to the single distillation). This stronger character paired better with the maduro cigars I like. I am looking foward to sampling other Armagnacs. -

Reviewed June 18, 2019This brandy is of light-medium Amber color. The aromas are of apple with traces of oak and very mild citrus aspect. Taste profile is mildly tannic with wood-like flavors paired with apple. The mouthfeel is medium-to-hot quickly tapering off to mild. Overall, a decent Armagnac for the price.33.0 USD per Bottle -
