The proof will get you there. I often shy away from bourbons, because they’re too sweet. This isn’t that. Herbal/grassy. Heavy corn influence (which is good). A bourbon for adults who aren’t stupid.
Spice and grass on the nose. It reminds me when you cut the stems on fresh flowers. Subtle maple at the end.
Taste is oily and starts with a sweet, woody flavor and the switches to bitterness (like dark chocolate bitterness)and spice. The grass notes comes back in at the end.
The bitterness and spice round out the finish but it seems to fade quickly.
I have tried a lot of bourbons. This is by far my favorite thing one hands down. Throw it on ice and wait for the magic to happen. Taste like an old fashioned to me without the addition of anything but ice. I love sipping
On this while smoking a cigar. I have ran out to buy multiple bottles of this.

I will be honest, liked it better the first time. I also drank it after drinking Heaven Hill BIB 7-year. Some nice smoke and oak, a fantastic palate and a long finish.
