Octomore 10 Year Second Edition (2016 Release)

Very smoky but honestly one of the best smoky whimsies I’ve tasted by far! It has a great mixture of floral and slight citrus sweetness to it to match that smoky peat. Oily on the palate in a great way, the flavour lingers nicely afterwards giving it a subtle floral and pest note in the background. I’ve never really been a fan of peat flavours but this one was on a whole different level, one that I know I could definitely enjoy more often! Solid whiskey, definitely a strong buy!

Although very strong and not on 10 year 3rd edition level, it has a nice balance of smoke and Sauternes sweetness with notes of bacon, smoke, honey, oranges, pineapples, vanilla, bananas, pineapples, white chocolate, sultanas, and almonds.

Wow this is a peat bomb. I struggle to pull other flavors but that’s ok. This is delicious. After some time in the glass I smell a bit of cinnamon but that doesn’t register on palate. Delicious.

Unique. Peat + neverending flavor profile. Smoked meat wrapped in earthy moss.
