Peerless Single Barrel Kentucky Straight Rye

Not something I enjoyed at all

Had a barrel pick of this and it was delicious

This one takes a while to get used to. Spicy and you can feel the high proof. So if you like a strong rye with some heat. This is for you. It would make some great cocktails, but the price point is too high to justify that. The nose is sweet with cane sugar and vanilla bean, but don’t let that fool you. A big piece of ice brings out the sweetness.

Crazy that they had just released this bottle on july 15 of the morning manhattan including notes of bitters and blueberry muffin, This is the best rye ive ever had!

'Grapefruit Spritz' 2022, 113.9 Proof. Purchased in May of 2022, during our KBT trip. Love this distillery. Routinely some of my favorite pours. This expression is another winner, though a bit different. Has a grassy, herbaceous nose, and is a bit stinging on the tongue. Flavors are similar to the nose. Hoping things evolve as this opens up over time, but still worthy of a spot on the shelf.
