Peg Leg Porker 12 Year Tennessee Straight Bourbon

Heady aroma of vanilla, honey, caramel and herbs. Soft, round mouthfeel of caramel and flowers (rose petal?) citrus (lime or not ripe lemon) finish was short for me.

Deep flavor with hints of bacon and charred hickory. Love this unique flavor in a great aged bourbon. Coats the tongue. Syrupy.

Neat, first pour. Not much on the nose. Some spice. Complex. Can heavily taste the charred wood. Pretty smooth. Sugary texture. Almost rye notes. Slight burn in the back end. Not sure how I like this one. A little astringent and tastes young for a 12 year

My first time drinking Tennessee Whiskey after years of Kentucky Bourbon. Pleasant aroma, caramel and nutty flavor with an almost minty aftertaste.

Nose of fruit (peach), vanilla and a slight smokiness. Fruit tones definitely come through in the taste. The smokiness is like that of a southern Bar B Que. A little bite of front, but smooths out nicely. Too expensive for a everyday, but a must for special occasions.

Strong BBQ flavor, delicious spin on bourbon!
