Red Stag by Jim Beam Black Cherry

It’s a good flavored whiskey. Former Beam engineer suggested it and I’m glad I tried it with him but wouldn’t order it again. While sipping it I struggled to imagine what mixed drink it would do well in. Overall, compared to traditional bourbon, its poor - wouldn’t consume again by choice. As a flavored whiskey though, it’s good, just fine.

A little too sweet. Might be better with some mixers.

I'm embarrassed to say I've tried this drink.

Aromas are fake cherry and Robotussin. Ok. They are basically Cherry Robotussin. Flavors are slightly better u was expecting that familiar flavor from childhood of medicine. But I got a sweet cherry Slurpee on the top of my tongue with a strange alcoholic bitter on the back. The front was pleasant the back not quite so.

Cherry cough syrup with a hint of whiskey (the good kind of cherry cough syrup at least)
