Shenk's Homestead Sour Mash Whiskey

batch #17A01 nose —honey, cherry oak, slight mint and orange zest. palate—round mouthfeel, caramel and burnt sugar with a light smokiness and exotic spice. finish—long, oily, deep. best if let set for about ten minutes. better if you let it set longer.

Sour mash with almost too much overripe citrus. Bite is up front.

Nose is sweet with some barrel character Taste is fruity with orange peel vanilla and caramel to finish

Nose. Leather - bananas - dirt - oak Finish - candy apples- leather - weak finish.

Citrus on the nose along with sweaty corn husk and a light toffee almost saltwater caramel toffee-esk. Amazingly tasty, not as hot as expected on the nose. This may be in my TOP 5 of all time at this point. Thank you, Ram!
