Smoke Wagon Uncut Unfiltered Bourbon

Nose: chocolate covered cherries and orange, tiny bit of rye. Palate: matches the nose, velvety sweet, moves into red licorice, cinnamon spice, and finishes with an okay char and lighter rye. Drinks like a 90 proof bourbon, unbelievably blended with little to no ethanol burn. Finish: lingering char and sweetness, much like Woodford Double Oak. Overall with a price of $69.69, it can’t go wrong. Fantastic blend and well done Smoke Wagon, looking forward to trying more.

Amazing nose. Chocolate, cherry, and orange peel. Ethanol does not overpower the nose considering the proof. Palate is light and inviting. A good entry for higher proof bourbons. Cinnamon, hint of licorice. Char. The finish is warm and lingers. A gentle hug. Not a ton of spice.

Had high expectations for this bottle and I hate to say it but I was a little let down at first. The neck pour was a little off to begin with coming across the palate as flat and then coming in with some burn on the finish. I have revisited this bottle and on the second and third pours it improved a lot with more of the same flavors I found in the small batch just amped up due to the higher proof. You will find fruit on the palate with rye spice and alcohol coming through on the finish. Overall it is a buy at retail and rated 3.75. If bought for over retail or close to secondary (100) this rating goes down a bunch. I luckily bought for MSRP so I will enjoy this bottle for what it is - a up and coming barrel proof offering

Huge, deep flavor, good amount of smoke, finishes hot and slightly spicy.

Good flavor but not overly complex. Sweet up front, fruit and some ethanol, and a nice long finish that leaves a good mouthfeel.

This is very smooth kind of an initial bite with a fruity finish. Good but not the best.
