Stagg Jr Barrel Proof Bourbon Batch 11

Trash. All sizzle, no steak. Heat without flavor. Nuts, dried fruit, baking spice on the nose. Brown sugar sweetness and oak. All of which are ham-handedly overrun by acetone and ethanol normally reserved for whiskey of a much higher proof. Next time just add pure grain to VOB.

Nose • Fruity astringency • Oak • Rye and pepper • Nuts Taste • Bold, spicy, heat • Peppery rye • slight citric fruits • Complex • Nice, some heat Very good stuff!

An explosion of flavor with a really long finish. I can’t think of a better bourbon I’ve had.
