The scotch that got me into scotch. I haven’t found anything like it since, will have to find it again and update. Bilu brought it for my bday.
Note: the picture they have here is the correct bottle, I compared before throwing out the bottle.
Holy peat. Smoky yet fruity aroma followed by a punch in the mouth full of peated flavor. Add some water to allow for the fruitier notes to come out but you better be in the mood.
Slight smoke. Full mouth feel and generous body. High alcohol so some water might take it down a bit. Mine is 61.8% and was straight from Scotland. Not available in Canada, at least not this specific version. Not a beginner whisky, but definitely worth trying.
Underneath the burn and intense spice, I do taste some of the flavors described on the label but the burn and spice does not make it worth the effort. The ginger overpowers everything else on my palate.
