Kraken Black Spiced Rum Original

Sweet but not too sweet. Lots of vanilla notes. Smooth. Good for sipping or mixing.

Very good stuff. Molasses-focused, heavy on the spices too. I was looking for just this type of black rum and I was lucky enough to find it on my first attempt. One word of caution: do NOT have it on the rocks by itself. I don’t know what I was thinking. It went from pleasant molasses to burnt plastic. No redeeming qualities when it’s on the rocks. Otherwise, if you’re not a dummy like me, it’s a nice rich rum.
