Macallan Double Cask 15 Year

Fantastic for $120, would make the perfect gift for any scotch drinker. Do not pass this up if you see it.

Tasted at house of macallan. Great pour with notes of raisins, caramel, figs, bananas, oranges, ginger, citrus, vanilla fudge, and milk chocolate.

A little malt honey and raisins, some of those familiar Macallan floral notes. Apples and a fair amount of cinnamon and black pepper. Sherry is not prominent at all. Nicer bite than I expected. Short oaky finish. Overall: nice but boring.

The nose is fruity and syrupy with an underlying hint of vanilla. The palette is rather mild with notes of tea, cinnamon, and light char. The finish is exceptionally smooth with light woody and leather notes.
