Van Winkle Special Reserve Lot "B" 12 Year

Almost no ethanol on the nose, possibly due to the lower proof, and is a lot sweeter than most bourbons. Smells like marshmallows in a way. Rather unusually, the palate hits harder than the finish. Palate has an interesting spiciness to it, like black pepper and cloves. Finish is short, a theme I’ve noticed with the Van Winkle line, with notes of charcoal and smokey oak.

Vanilla and fruity nose, cloves, cinnamon, apple, some spice and warmth. Moderate finish. Similar to 10 year but less vanilla

Pretty magical. Very smooth and full of flavor.

Sweet floral nose. Sweet cherry palate with mild oak. Occasional hint of char. Finish is quick, nothing lingers.
