Wild Turkey Bourbon 101

Candy cane on the nose. Notes of Honey and allspice. Sweet. A far cry from my first experience having a shot in high school which burned my throat and made me want to gobble like a Turkey. Still has some heat on the back end though. Very smooth though. Quite enjoyable.

For the money, I don't know that there is anything better. I thought for a hot minute that Early Times BiB was a competitor, but this takes it, at least for me. Some sweet, some oak, some spice, and enough punch at 101 proof - it's just a solid well-rounded bourbon, and only $22 a bottle. I do think I prefer the 101 Rye, but this is great too.
