Reviewed May 17, 2015 (edited May 30, 2015)This bourbon opens up with heavy vanilla and honey which yields to a spicy warming finish. The nose is light and and sweet . It is not very complex, but it has a great flavor and is one of the best values in bourbon. -

Reviewed May 10, 2015Great bourbon for the money. Neat has nice spice and clean finish. I've always got a few types of wild turkey around the house. Adding a bit of water or ice really brings out the complexity. -

All of Jimmy Russell's signature notes are here, along with unmistakable bite & spice from young aging and only cut to 101 proof. If full-flavored holds your attention, don't let the proof scare you off. Only a few 10+ year small batch/single barrel offerings can even come close to completing at this price point. Drink. Now.
