This is the bourbon that got me into whiskey. The strongest note is the vanilla frosting, followed by heavily toasted bread and caramel. This bourbon is sweet, but is balanced by that toasted bread note, and is surprisingly well rounded for a whiskey without an age statement. There is also a vegetal quality that comes across to me as fresh, uncooked green beans. A faint hint of fruit in the form of apricot rounds out the flavors present.
*Note: I score from 0-5 with 0 being the worst whiskey possible, 2.5 being average, and 5 being the most sublime nectar of the gods.
