Wild Turkey Bourbon 101

Wild Turkey 101 (750ml). Like red wine, this bourbon goes best this way - three parts water, two parts bourbon. Sips better than the best glass of red wine you have ever had. Caramel, oak and cream that lingers on for a few minutes

Strangely enough, well into my 12 month bourbon journey, I’m finally trying one of the most accessible, low priced, well reviews staples. And it lived up to the hype. It drank like a Russell SB. It’s wild how tasty and perfectly proofed this is. Put this in a blind and you will realize chasing bottles is a waste of time.

NOSE - bourbon-ish (caramel, vanilla, oak) but something chemical (or medical?) added - in result a little bit less sweet, TASTE - more dry than usual bourbon. Strong wood&oak, but nice and hot (101 proof!). Overall - Bulleit will stay my favorite bourbon drink, but Wild Turkey 101 is a pretty decent proposition.
