Typical bourbon nose with a not so typical bourbon taste. Silky smooth mouthfeel. A delicious balance of smoke, oak, vanilla, and red fruits. The subtle smokiness really sets it apart. Hardly any burn. Finish is a little on the short side but the balance of all flavors are always present. I seem to be hitting this bottle a lot; purchased a back-up bottle.
4.75 ⭐️ / $115 / Third Base Spirit & Wine
Neat; spicey & sweet (butterscotch & banana) nose. Sweet flavor with notes of oak (vanilla), floral & spice. Soft sweet & spicey finish. Light spicey (cinnamon) lingering flavor with a touch of spice.
Not a fan of the price but it's so soft (like water) on the finish. Possibly dangerious?
Good bye Blind Butcher @ Dallas.
I really wanted to like this but it was a disappointment. There's a whisper of WT's former glory, but not enough to justify the $145 price tag. They've been dropping to ~$80 after sitting on the shelf for a little over a year now while WT or distributors have tried to incentivize shops to move it. Oh well.
