Wild Turkey Rare Breed Barrel Proof Bourbon

Really liked this one. So smooth for a 116 proof. Room temp, neat is a treat for sure. Warm vanilla, oak char and pepper spice. It’s very drinkable this way. One cube does mute down some of the spice, but the warm vanilla stays with you. Has really nice mouth feel to it. Excellent bourbon.

Gets better as you go. Definite heat that cuts into the caramel and vanilla. Not a big nose.

It’s a 4/5 for the taste but gets a 4.5 when you factor in the price. I don’t think there is a bourbon that comes close to this when it comes to value.

Nose - peppermint and vanilla little caramel. bite on tongue long finish . very smooth
