Wild Turkey Rare Breed Barrel Proof Bourbon

Lot of vanilla / caramel with light heat at onset. More flavors I can’t put my finger on exactly, maybe licorice Nibs candy. More heat going down. My wife, who’s not a whiskey drinker, said ‘that sure looks carmely’.

Oh so good. Tons of complex flavor with that heat, spice and background sweetness. Enjoyed this neat (wow!) and with a little ice. Definitely a new staple on the bar.

A little bite with the higher proof but the perfect amount of sweetness on the back end.

Tried neat- initial taste is smooth. Going down there's a light burn, but mellows out pretty fast. The finish leaves a slight coat on the tongue, but very delicious! Tried on rocks (let sit for a few mins)- very smooth, taste is still evident, but a lot more toned because of the water. Will have to try chilled to see if I like it that way

Toasty vanilla cake. With a hint of mint/cooling after taste.
