mostly a Speyside drinker, and this first attempt to Islay since the awful Jura i try. Nose, definitely smoky peaty. Mix of BBQ and new tire smell. Taste: completely new to me. Used to sweet or spicy whisky and that throw me out. No burn. I don't hate the taste. It really weird and probably i should do a second review when I try more Islay. The taste remind of cherry spray throat cepacol it even give the same tangly feeling at the tongue that last. Got also some bbq smoke note and some salty note like sea salt. The finish is really enjoyable. Never understand with all the horrible description why people love it. Now I know and the more sip I have and getting acclamatized to the smoke and the more enjoying it and discover some sweetness
