First off, bourbon must be aged 4 years. This was aged 9 MONTHS. Its simply whiskey. There are probably a lot of purists that are upset at New Liberty for calling this bourbon.
Their tasting notes...milk chocolate, butter, leather, and stone fruit.
MY tasting notes.... Hay. It tastes like dried grass.
If this wasnt a gift, i would be pretty upset at myself for buying it. Its not bad, but i certainly wouldnt call it good.

Not true. To be bourbon, it must be aged in charred New or “Virgin” American oak barrels. There’s is no specificity as to how long it must be aged to be called bourbon. However, “straight” bourbon is 2 year’s minimum, and Bottled In Bond IS in fact the 4 years you specified, but with more rules. TTB regulations do not specify how long bourbon must be aged, just that it must be in the above notes barrels to be called Bourbon Whiskey. There are other requirements, but this is what is required as far as age is concerned.
