Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban 14 Year
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland

Pours deep copper into the glass. Vanilla dominant nose with a mellow fruit influence in the background. The "fruit" notes are akin to whiskey aged in sherry casks. It tastes similar to the nose. Medium mouthfeel with a medium-long finish.
Glenmorangie has become one of my favorites recently as I worked through their cask finished expressions and the Original over the last two years. I find this one the smoothest of the four. That is no suprise since it is the oldest. The Nectar d'Or was the sweetest. The Original is good all around. The Lasanta was my favorite being the most robust of the four.
I just have to track down a Quinta 12 for comparison.
