On the nose and pallet you get a hint of fruit, a nice mild peat smoke and vanilla flavour as well.
The smokiness is soft enough to allow the flavours not to be over powered by it, but it enhances those flavours and aromas instead. I also get a hint of orange, chocolate and a mild lupini bean aftertaste on the pallet which is completely different from what I’m used to but not bad at all.
I always love a sherry cask finish and this bottle is no exception. Really good, easy to drink.
