Color: strong copper tones, medium darkness
Legs: slow forming but run fast once droplets are formed. Impressive texture for a 112 proof
Nose: honey, vanilla with some pecan and hints of spice flood the nostril. The proof doesn't seem to be overwhelming on the nose.
First sip: sweet and spicy simultaneously while covering the pallet with a blanket of warmth.
Body: it's fairly true to the nose and consistent with nose and sip. No burn going down which is impressive for a higher proof rye bourbon.
Finish: smooth to start with some residual heat coming on the back end up through the nose.
Overall: this is an excellent pour. Classic wild turkey flavor with some spice from the rye and heat from the proof but still proportionate and balanced. Well done
