Nose: sweet strawberry, raspberry; demerara and peat; light salt air.
Taste: sweet strawberry and seaweed; buttery, with strong demerara and medium wood smoke.
Finish: sweat, peaty, and oily; slightly tannic and leathery.
Overall: very unique dram with a number of wildly different, distinct notes. Touch of water opens up the acidity in the fruit flavours and highlights the oak. Excellent character for a five-year-old single cask.
-Cask 322/2015, bottled for Craft Cellars (Canada), 58.6% ABV.

@Watchman Nice! Yeah, the peat is certainly heavier in the Port. I’m out in BC, but glad Craft Cellars ships out here! The selection and price is much better for whisky in AB.
@cptraynor nice. I have tasted both and the PX appealed to me slightly more. You in Alberta or BC?
@Watchman I just got the 7 Year Old Ruby Port Finish Single Cask from Craft Cellars. It more jammy and rich, more peat in comparison to the PX single cask. Really good. If you like this one you’ll probably like the other.
Just bought this after sampling. really delicious.
