Zünftler Altes Schwarzwalder Kirschwasser 10 Jahre gelagert
Other Brandy — Germany

In a Glencairn neat. Initial nose has joven tequila aroma, diminishing with subsequent nosings until it’s near-mentholy after a couple of full-on Tony Montana-like inhalations. Legs slow or stop halfway down the glass.
Very dry mouth, oily. None of that cough syrup taste found in cheap kirsch. More of a stone and mild cherry flavor with just enough heat to tingle the tongue.
A few drops of distilled water brought back the agave aroma and a little of the same taste, along with the cherry stone.
Finish is warm & spicy, lingering a minute or two.
I picked up a 750ml in a grocery store in Germany for € 7. Will get a couple more when routine travel to BRD resumes. Excellent Kirschwasser.
