Nose: Sweet, honeycomb, caramel, ginger, beeswax
Palate: Butterscotch, vanilla, sweet. Baked fruit. A little harsh on the palate
Finish: Very short, watery finish. Slightly toasted aftertaste.
This is a fairly forgettable, nothingy whiskey.

@cascode It’s an odd one. Every time I’ve tried Slane over the last 2-3 years it has been a wholly different drink! Admittedly, the first couple were while I was over in Ireland (and probably quite a few drams into the evening!), but even more recently they have been pretty inconsistent. This bottle was a present last year and it was particularly poor.
I had a bottle of this when it was first released a couple of years ago, but at the time it was sourced (from Cooley I think) and it was OK. Not tried it since - maybe their in-house production is available now and it has changed? Pity - it was an OK mixer before.
