Nose- heavy smoke and peat. Slightly sweet.
Palate- sweet and salty to start. Then becoming fruity and briny.
Finish- sweet and peaty. Slight smoke flavor with a lingering apricot note.
Overall- not as smooth or as many layers as the 16 year. A very sweet and smoky flavor that is a higher level than other islay scotches. An fun addition to any islay scotch collection.
