Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
@phoibe it definitely is. I did a tasting at a local whisky store laste year with its owner who is in the whisky business for several decades. The tasting wasn’t necessarily for beginners but it was themed “Speyside”. And the 8-dram-tasting was started with this whisky. And surprisingly a lot of people really liked it. It is super compatible yet quite characteristic even for its regional Speyside identity. I indeed kinda liked it as well.
@PHOIBE I like it a lot. The burn isn’t as rough as others can be and it doesn’t have hardly any of that burnt wood flavor you can get from some scotches. It’s a little pricier than your general bourbons, around $50 but I just have a little bit here and there when I want to feel fancy lol. I’m no expert though. The check ins on my page are all I’ve tried.
I somehow haven't had this one yet. Do you think that it's a good entry point for non-scotch drinkers as well?
