Bottled: October 2020

Nose: Honey, raisin/sultanas, oily & buttery notes
Palate: Milk chocolate raisins, demarara, dark berry fruit, vanilla, molasses
Finish: Leather, caramelised fruits, black pepper, demarara rum on the aftertaste
This is an exceptionally good dram. Dark, caramelised fruit, vanilla and dark rum. Delicious. It also got my vote for first and I'm currently trying to justify to myself spending this amount of money for a 12y/o Glenrothes! I've not quite pressed the button to buy yet, but I suspect I might just be delaying the inevitable! Fabulous!
Came strong first out of the six whiskies, with 52% of the final vote for favourite of the night (12 votes). 91% of those present said they enjoyed the whisky (21 votes). This was the standout dram at the tasting and the runaway winner of the night.
