This potent bourbon was very aromatic and packed full of flavour. Like many whiskies with a high proof or ABV, it needs time to unveil itself. Nosing it through a Glencairn will surprise you - I kid you not I picked up a whiff of bubblegum. Although your palate might feel a bit of spice (predominantly cinnamon and nutmeg), the finish mellows out into smooth charred oak with a slight burn. NOSE: Sweet corn, caramel, vanilla, orange peel, bubblegum, butter PALATE: Spices, cinnamon, nutmeg, light caramel FINISH: Charred oak, barley, grass, tobacco Rating: 76/100 Grade: C Below average - drinkable, but better as a mixer / party booze.
