Been trying to get into scotch for a couple of weeks now and finally feel like it’s starting to grow on me. After reading Texacer’s guide on r/Scotch I wanted to start taking some notes of my own.
Enjoyed - Neat (first time, I’m usual a single ice cube guy) in a Glencairn, listening to Fleet Foxes radio.
Nose - Smokey, meaty, spiced citrus, newly built sauna, tobacco. In all honestly, I think I’m too novice to smell past the peat.
Taste - Smoky, exhaling through my nose feels like I’m sitting next to a campfire. The alcohol lingers and lightly burns my tongue.
Finish - Almost like if vanishes. The sip vaporizes before it even hits your throat.
