12 yo.
40% vol.
Colored, Triple Distilled, Cooper pot.
Bourbon + Sherry (Oloroso) casks.
Nose: pear, fruit jam, sweet copper, bourbon notes, hard candy, tost, oak. Minimal Sherry influence, but still there.
Palate: sherry, sweet and complex. Woody notes. Light spiciness. Copper bitterness.
Finish: long, oily, sweet & spicy. Mouthful fruit sweetness. Like you ate some fruit bisquet lightly soaked in brandy . Very delightful
Conclusion: bourbon nose for me is downgrade but what an amazing finish for this baby! Taste is complex and rich, can be too soft and polish for someone because of the triple distillation.
You can spend hours chatting with this dram discovering new aspects, shades and notes.
Colored.
It's a keeper. I would recommend this to try at least once.
