The first flavour I notice right off the start both on the nose and palate is vanilla. Full body flavour, mix of sherry and caramel as well with an oily coating on the palate. A mild aftertaste, somewhat short with some spice. Reminds me a bit of the Aberlour 12 year but it’s not quite the same.
In my personal opinion, the flavours aren’t what I was expecting, I was hoping to get something a little more complex, more of that sherry flavour, maybe I haven’t had enough of it yet to really judge properly, but it doesn’t necessarily fit my preferred flavour profile, but still a good whisky nonetheless.
