Poured neat. On the nose I get a subtle mix of toffee, dusty wood, and a faint bit of toasted peanut. It reminds me of the cardboard box of peanut brittle my family gets every Christmas.
It's not overwhelming, but this is the first time I can say that I've gotten a "briney" smell. It's like someone emptied and quickly rinsed a pickle jar.
Oily texture with a lot of caramel and honey sweetness all the way through. A wave of liquid mesquite bbq smoke sweeps in around mid-palate before fading into a peppery finish.
Very enjoyable, I'll be breaking this out for some backyard grilling parties this summer.
