Nose: Vanilla, toffee, light spice
Palate: Tropical fruit, pineapple, dark berry crumble
Finish: Medium long finish, light wood & spice, dark fruit
A very gentle, unassuming but very drinkable dram. It has a nice weight to it, probably due to the 46%, and has a nicely sherried finish. Spirit driven rather than heavily cask influenced. It’s a very well balanced, almost old-fashioned, whisky. Nice & easy drinking.
Came first out of the six whiskies, with 27% of the final vote for favourite of the night. 73% of those present said they enjoyed the whisky.
