Nose - Peat, brine, sea spray, smoke.
Taste - Earthiness, no meat like I get from the Lagavulin Offerman Edition. You get the taste of peat, but almost as if it’s unsmoked. The aftertaste is similar to tobacco smoke.
Finish - Very smooth. I could easily have a glass of this. The feeling left in my mouth is similar to the one after a cigar.
Score - 4.5
Scoring Legend
5.0 - Near perfect, there is something truly special about this whisky.
4.5 - Amazing, will always try to keep a bottle of this in my collection (if feasible).
4.0 - Very Good, maybe only one minor nitpick about the whisky keeping it here.
3.5 - Good, quite enjoyable to drink.
3.0 - Solid, wouldn't go out of my way to get it.
2.5 - Meh, still drinkable.
Under 2.5 - If you have a bottle of this, start cooking with it instead.
