I've officially reached the next level of tater now that I'm having my first swig of Elmer T Lee. The first thing I noticed was the color, very light yellow gold, not as dark as I might have expected. The nose is terrific, tart baked apples. Classic bourbon palate, with lots of toffee notes. It's sweet, but not overly so. The baked apple notes from the nose are also present on the tongue, but you get a taste of buttery cinnamon crust, too. The finish is pleasantly warm with very little bitterness. It has a similar flavor profile to Blanton's, but richer and a little spicier.
