First time trying anything from this distillery. MGP sourced, high rye bourbon. Bottled at 58.6%, El Cerrito Liquor SiB. LOTS of ethanol on the nose, almost overpowering the slight nutty aroma. Peppery up front with sweet nut brittle notes and pronounced heat from the proof. Settles into overripe banana and more nut brittle. Medium finish with sweet tobacco and burnt sugar.
