Duncan Taylor 12 Year Blended Scotch Whisky
Blended — Scotland

Smell: pretty ethanol-y, fruity, some malt, a drop of honey,
Snifter: decently malty, has a weak peaty finish (not at all smoky), some fruit is there but hard to discern, a splinter of wood tannin, a dash of salty notes, very faint notes of honey in the mid palate,
On ice: it becomes a lot more fruity, malty notes are still about the same, peaty finish disappears completely, it is overall sweeter with the ice, wood tannin is gone, I prefer this more than neat but I wouldn't turn down it being neat. It is less salty but like a grain of salt is there.
Drink Rec: on ice
Verdict: "Buy it", this is a very approachable blended scotch that gives someone an idea of what scotch can be like, it doesn't give the whole picture of scotch but at least one side of what it can be. Not too intimidating for a beginner,
