Caught a whiff opening the bottle and my sense of smell was changed, my mind went into a thousand different locations. At first old rocky seaweed shores just after a strong storm followed by a deep rich smell of peat. I have never smelled peat in my life but instantly thought of the rolls of new mulch stacked for the winter. Another sip and the peat turned into a never before experienced vanilla charcoal flavor. The finish is quick and I mean extremely quick. Feels like the taste leaves your senses as quick as it comes.

As a side note. Would not recommend as a first scotch to anyone because of how unique the nose and taste
