1st tasting. New bottle. Neat. Aroma: immediately sense this is something different / unique / has some complexity. And a hint of new leather. Palate: the spiciness is not overwhelming. More medium heat than flavor. Palate: Zesty plum skin. With a few drops of water, aroma opened to powdered (confectioner's sugar) apple cider donuts. 2nd tasting. Opened bottle. Neat. Aroma: pear, honeysuckle. Taste: subtly sweet, mild spice. With a few drops of water is lost a lot on nose & palate. Scoring Legend 5.0 - Near perfect, there is something truly special about this whisky. 4.5 - Amazing, will always try to keep a bottle of this in my collection (if feasible). 4.0 - Very Good, maybe only one minor nitpick about the whisky keeping it here. 3.5 - Good, quite enjoyable to drink. 3.0 - Solid, wouldn't go out of my way to get it. 2.5 - Meh, still drinkable.
