Not being a connoisseur of tequila, I asked the barkeep what he recommended for a bourbon drinker. This was it and I was not disappointed. The base spirit is fairly foreign to me but French oak aging is not so I find this somewhat akin to cognac although sweeter and less burn.
Intense nose of cotton candy and tropical fruit. There is a touch of smoke too. The body is quite thin and this goes down way too easy. I really like the nose.
The taste is quite sweet with the cotton candy in the lead. There is a little of that tropical fruit in the background but precious little depth to the flavors. Finish leaves my mouth very dry and wanting water to chase.
It's something different and I can drink it but will keep searching.
