Note: this is a review from deep in the archives that I forgot to upload previously Rating: 18/23 The nose is fruity with this really nice tawny port note to it. There's a bit of something industrial on the nose but it is otherwise quite good. The palate isn't as sweet as expected but that fruity port flavor quickly comes out, giving it a kind of herbal fruity richness. There's some cherry and orange but also plenty of apple. It's surprisingly rich and not inundated by minerals. I appreciate the dryness mixed with the apple sweetness. This is rich and tasty without being overwhelming in any direction. Lo and behold, it is aged in port barrels!
