The nose is subtle at first but has a surprisingly sweet caramel note coupled with some hidden spice that only peaks out now and again. The palate is where the spice from the nose comes out of hiding to dance with the vanilla notes before truncating down to wood notes in the finish. No real fruit notes or much complexity. Not sure I even like this whiskey, and mildly annoyed that the sourcing and mash bill are hidden because I'd like to know where these flavors are coming from, yet at the end this whiskey changes enough to offer subtle differences every time you take a sip. Priced reasonably in my market.
