The nose is composed of a candied sweetness made up of anise, maraschino cherry, and the blended woods of the bourbon and cognac casks in which it has been aged.
On the tongue the whiskey is sweet and spicy with notes of honey, cherry, and cask wood. Very good, though somewhat thin. It transitions early into the finish with the tannins of the cask and just the barest hint of smoke.
